This collection has 12 variations to choose from, and each group has three large spools of 40-weight thread in warm, medium, and dark colors. Each spool holds 1094 yards of two-ply, 100% Egyptian Cotton thread.

Aurifil s 40-weight thread is slightly thicker than other threads, so it s ideal for sewing bags, toys or dolls, garments, or a more defined topstitch. You can also use it in single, double, triple-strand cross-stitch, hand piecing, bobbin and machine lace, machine applique, machine embroidery, edge-to-edge, pantographs, and longarm quilting. Some needle recommendations include an 80 12 sharp, universal, or denim needle. You can also use a 90 14 or 75 11 quilting needle and a 3.5 or 4.0 long-arm needle.
